The WorldA GitHub history you can walk through.
A playable 3D world derived from repository and commit history, with language districts and people behind the work.

a place.
A GitHub history you can walk through.
The World, also called NULL, translates a GitHub history into an explorable place. Repository structures, language districts, and collaborators connect the scene to the record behind it.
The problem to work through
A long activity history is difficult to understand through a flat repository list. A spatial experience also needs navigation, readable interactions, and a useful alternative for visitors who cannot run WebGL.
Let the record shape the scene
Repository structures derive their scale from commit counts and lifespan. Language districts use GitHub language colors and follow the chronology of the underlying history.
Make exploration useful
Movement, a world map, and nearby interaction prompts let visitors discover repositories, case studies, and collaborators. Touch controls support a different way to navigate.
Keep another path open
A text fallback presents the work when WebGL is unavailable. The portfolio uses recorded gameplay for its lightweight preview and starts the full game only when requested.
History becomes a place
A creative representation of the repository’s recorded dataset. It is not a live count of current GitHub activity or a measure of developer ability.
What I take from it
An unusual interface works best when its shapes have a reason and visitors still have a direct, accessible route to the content.
